Onze 4**** camping ligt in hartje Zuid-Bourgondië, tussen Beaune en Mâcon. Château de l'Epervière is een waardig ambassadeur van deze rijke, gulle streek vol passie en tradities.
Vakantie op een Kasteelpark
De geschiedenis van Bourgondië is erg boeiend en vol tumultueuze wendingen. De beroemde "Ducs de Bourgogne" lieten met vele kastelen en paleizen hun sporen na.
De viersterren camping van Château de l'Epervière doet dit erfgoed zeker eer aan. U wordt hartelijk ontvangen voor een verblijf in het park van een elegant 16e/18e eeuws kasteel. Onze kampeerplaatsen zijn geschikt voor caravans, campers (ook verharde plaatsen) en natuurlijk ook voor tenten. Bovendien beschikken we ook over luxe kasteel appartementen en zeer comfortabele Zen cottage stacaravans.
Een warme ontvangst
De gulle streek Bourgondië, met zijn wereldberoemde overheerlijke wijnen, weet hoe het z'n bezoekers moet ontvangen. De families Bérard en Engel heten u van harte welkom op Château de l'Epervière, perfekte uitvalsbasis voor het in alle rust ontdekken van deze verrassende streek. De camping is op het platteland gelegen maar toch erg eenvoudig te bereiken vanaf de snelweg A6 en bovendien zeer goed toegankelijk voor grotere caravans en campers.
De voorzieningen (met o.a. sauna, verwarmd binnenbad en winkel) zijn in en bij het kasteel gehuisvest en verzekeren u van alle benodigde comfort tijdens uw verblijf.
Heerlijk eten en drinken
Uiteraard dient u tijdens uw verblijf in Bourgondië kennis te maken met één van de grootste kwaliteiten van de streek: z'n gastronomie. De chef van het restaurant van Château de l'Epervière laat u met veel plezier kennismaken met enkele Bourgondische klassiekers, maar ook vele ander culinaire hoogstandjes. Dit alles binnen de eeuwenoude muren van het kasteel of op het gezellige overdekte terras, en natuurlijk onder het genot van een heerlijk glas Bourgondische wijn !

However, at the beginning of the second Millenium, Burgundy earned its reputation for its spiritual influence throughout Europe. In these days, the Abbey of Cluny was the religious centre of Europe, and many “daughters of Cluny”(other abbeys under the influence of Cluny) were built everywhere, particularly in Southern Burgundy.

The fact that the South of Burgundy counts a large number of Romanesque monuments is easily explained by the big influence of the Abbey of Cluny during the Middle Ages. Following the abbeys of Cluny and Tournus, dozens of Romanesque churches were built all over the South of Burgundy, most of them are very well preserved. The Hameau du Vin Wine Museum |

In the far South of Burgundy, at the edge of the Beaujolais, the « Hameau du Vin » is a superb museum completely dedicated to wines and their history, the largest and most important wine museum in Europe. Housed in the former railway station (dating back to the 19th century) of Romanèche-Thorins, the museum will please all people with an interest in wines, but also the children. A great day out for everyone !

Beaune and the Hospices |

If one city has contributed a great deal to Burgundy’s prestigious reputation, it is Beaune. OK, Dijon is the indisputable capital of the region, but Beaune has to be given credits for being Burgundy’s wine capital. The smallish city only counts approx. 35.000 inhabitants and is indeed situated in the heart of the famous vineyards.
